Established in 1990, Precision Motion Industries (PMI) has been manufacturing linear rail and linear rail guides to suit a wide variety of industrial applications. With over 30 years of experience, PMI now dominates the Asian machine tool industry. This is why we are so proud to offer PMI linear rail and linear rail guide solutions to our customers here in the UK.
PMI linear rail and linear rail guides are manufactured from materials sourced from Germany. This material is then subjected to extremely rigorous heat treatment and grinding processes. Armoloy coating is also offered as an optional extra. PMI linear rail and linear rail guides can be machined at our large machine shop facility to create extremely high-quality linear rail and bearing assembly solutions.
WHAT IS A LINEAR RAIL?
Put simply, a linear rail is a common linear motion component that allows for the smooth movement of loads along one single axis. Here at Matara, we can manufacture fully bespoke linear rail solutions, with each linear rail cut to a specified length alongside pitch mounting holes for easy installation. Linear guides also make use of mounting holes to fix the load that the rail is transporting.

Same day butt joints from sizes 7mm > 65mm wide. - Linear rails can be manufactured with a tapped hole.
- Linear rails can be manufactured with dowel holes and dowels if required.
