How to Measure Pneumatic Fittings

To measure pneumatic fittings, use callipers to find the outside diameter of the male threads and the inside diameter of the female threads.

If you’re unsure which size pneumatic fitting you require for your application, these are the three things you need to consider:

• The inner diameter of the threaded hole you need
• The fitting required to fit
• The outer diameter of the threaded section of your existing fitting
